Steep Skiing Camps Worldwide
Here is a selection of the different camps we offer.
Chamonix Steep Camp
March 2-8, 2025
Chamonix is the mountaineering and extreme skiing capital of the world. You cannot miss the rich history of alpinism and skiing that has taken place here. It is in the heart of the Alps and is an ideal base for our Steep Skiing Camp. There is endless fantastic skiing in Chamonix and we will certainly be able to venture outside of the valley for some of the camp as well. There are many descents off the Aiguille du Midi, short tours over the backside of the Aiguilles Rouges, a few big lines off the Grands Montets, and some nice descents in Le Tour: just to name a few of the options in Chamonix.
No matter how experienced or how well you ski, you will learn and be challenged by the camps. Not to worry if you are an expert coming to the Chamonix Camp, groups are split by ability and fitness.
La Grave Steep Camp
February 23 - March 1, 2025
La Grave is the original home of Steep Skiing Camps Worldwide. Miles worked alongside Doug Coombs guiding steep camps in La Grave when he first started guiding in the Alps.
La Grave is a legendary place for steep off-piste skiing. There are endless couloirs and big glacier runs to do.
Verbier Steep Skiing Camp
Next dates in 2026
Verbier has a high concentration of easily accessible, fun, steep skiing with plenty of interesting couloirs and steep faces to explore. It is a friendly resort with a fantastic lift system connecting a huge area of skiing together, allowing us on our camps to cover a huge amount of terrain. It is often less intimidating than other resorts with little need for much rope work to access terrain and less high consequence.
If you are looking to join us for the first time then Verbier is a great option for your first steep skiing camp and the first introduction to skiing steeper terrain.
Women's Steep Camps
January 19-25, 2025
Enjoy the opportunity to learn and play with the support of other women. This camp is about learning steep skiing technique, backcountry skills, mountain safety, and most importantly, HAVING FUN!
We will primarily focus on downhill steep skiing and powder skiing techniques, but we also have the option to do some ski touring if conditions are right. The highlight of the week will be a heli ski descent on one of the nearby peaks. Lodging is at a 3 star hotel in Chamonix.
Custom Steep Camps & Private Trips
If the dates for this year’s steep camp don’t work for you, or you don’t want to join a group, a Custom Steep Camp might be just the thing for you. We can offer 5-7 day camps in Chamonix or La Grave. These camps will be similar to the classic Steep Camps, but it will just be you or your group of friends. We can take groups of 1-4 skiers or snowboarders.
